Registration fee

The ENABLE 2021 will be done entirely online and there will be no registration fee.

Poster and short talk applications

During the event, we want to give as many participants as possible the chance to present their research to their peers, the invited speakers and the public.

Every participant is expected to submit a scientific abstract of their work (or planned work in the case of first year Ph.D. students) of a maximum of 300 words. During the registration process, you can choose to just present a poster or also apply for a scientific talk. We will then select and notify the speakers in April. All the submitted abstracts will be included in the abstract book that will be available online.

There will be prizes awarded for the best posters and short talks.

Abstract submission

Abstracts must be submitted in English.

Each registrant can submit only one abstract for evaluation.

No changes to the abstract will be considered after submission.

Abstracts should contain a maximum of 300 words, and may not include line breaks or pictures.

Abstracts will be uploaded on the platform, and each participant will have it on its own profile.

Poster instructions

The posters will be uploaded as pdf files on the platform in a dedicated section, with short video and chat options.

The deadline to upload your final poster is the 26th of April.

You will receive an email from us/platform with guidance on how to submit your digital poster in the coming weeks.

Short talk instructions

Each oral presentation will last 15 minutes (5-minute discussion included). Each speaker is kindly requested to respect the allocated time of 15 minutes; the Organizers will not accept additional time in order to guarantee the respect of the daily program.

Satellite grants

To apply, in addition to your scientific abstract, after the registration you will have to provide us with a brief description of the satellite workshop that you will organize. More information you can find on this page.

The deadline for the application is the 1st of March. Selected participants will be notified in March by email.

Career day

During ENABLE 2021, you will get the chance to participate in workshops and career chats, that will be completely done online. Workshops feature intense training sessions with a dedicated professional, where you can expand your skillset needed for climbing the academic or industrial career ladder. In career chats, you will have the possibility to discuss career paths with academic and industrial professionals in a small group setting.

During the registration process, we will ask you to select the workshops you are interested in and will then try to allow everybody to attend their preferred workshop. The workshops take place in the morning and afternoon in parallel to the rest of the career program. Thus, it’s possible that you miss part of the alternative program.

Handling of personal information

All personal data you submit will remain confidential. Your data will only be used to contact you regarding ENABLE 2021. We will use your data to register you for the conference. We will also use your data to notify you of future ENABLE conferences but for no other purpose. You can submit a request to review your data or to delete your data from our records.

Please don’t capture, transmit or redistribute data presented at the meeting unless the presenter gives explicit consent and please be mindful of unpublished data.
