Career Day

The career day is one of the core activities of the FEBS-IUBMB-ENABLE events and participants will have the opportunity to develop their professional future as young scientists. At the 2023 FEBS-IUBMB-ENABLE we will make sure to cover the aspects we believe are critical, especially in our career chats.

Participants will have the chance to broaden their horizons and expand their capabilities through three complementary career activities: insightful discussions with experts from different career paths in the alternative career chats section, workshops aimed at building new skills, and a job fair hosting potential employment options from the biotechnological, pharmaceutical, publishing, or communication sectors.

Discover alternative career paths in our Career Chats session

Career Chats overcome the classical format of career development round tables providing a more direct interaction between PhD and PostDocs and professionals that hold a PhD and moved beyond academic research, such as industry consultants, editors, patent lawyers, clinical safety managers, or science communicators.

Each speaker will give a 5 minute presentation to all participants, and then will head to booths set-up at the opportunity fair. There, participants have the chance to ask questions and come into contact with the career chatter. This way, it’s more interactive and gives our attendants the opportunity to network and gather important information for the next steps in their career!
